Who in his role as an airline Captain has done so much in developing a continuing dialogue and relationship between pilots and controllers. For his many contributions throughout the years and his furthering of airline safety and particularly the assistance and friendship he has extended to PATCO officers and PATCO controllers during its formative years.

- Brian meets all criteria for being in the top 10% of athletes over the age
of 80 years
- Brian has achieved All-American status in the shotput, javelin, discus and the
100 m sprint
- At age 80, he is also a world-class powerlifiter
- Among his awards, Brian won the bronze medal for the shotput in the 2003 World Master Athletic Championships in Puerto Rico this Summer (2003)
- Brian is also bobsled qualified on the Lake Placid (NY) Olympic Run
- Brian scuba dives in Hawaii and is rated P.A.D.I. (diver)
- Brian participates in crew in the 4 and 8 man shell
- August 14, 2004, Brian won the gold medal at The Reading, PA National Masters Weight Pentathlon making him the national Masters champion.
- July, 2005, The Worlds Masters Games, Edmonton, Canada. Brian won 6 silver medals in the following events: Shotput, Discus, Javelin, Hammer, Weight Throw, and Weight Pentathalon.
- September 22-23, 2007, Annual University of Delaware Fall Throwers Classic. Brian won 6 gold medals in weight pentathlon, and exceeded the american Standards in the Super Weight Throw.
